We just made it to Prague! In honor of Daylight Saving Time (DST) in the US today, I had to look up if there are any time changes in the country we're in. It would not be fun to miss a flight due to a silly mistake. Luckily, our handy smartphones adjust the times automatically upon our arrival. Oh Siri, you're so reliable.
It turns out that the United States observes daylight savings two weeks earlier than most countries that do observe. The US observes it on the 2nd Sunday of March, whereas many other countries (including Czech Republic, the country we are currently in) observe it on the last Sunday of March.
This handy online list of Daylight Savings practices in each country is useful for those who plan to do a RTW trip! The rules change each year, and differ for each country and region, so make sure to do your research to avoid missing those flights! :)
